NorCal Robotics - 3D Laser Scanner Carousel

The 3D Laser Scanner Carousel is a NorCal Robotics prototype. It is a stepper-driven carousel, with a laser line mounted perpendicular to its axis of rotation. Using a camera, a PC running the control program can capture a series of still images of any object set on the carousel, and by controlling the stepper and analyzing the sequence of images, a 3D model of the object can be created.
